January Favourites 2014

Nivea In-Shower Rich Body Lotion
For someone with dry skin who is extremely lazy, this product is a godsend! Saves me so much time by moisturising in the shower and leaves my skin so smooth!

Batiste Dry Shampoo
In my eyes, dry shampoo is the best invention ever! Saves me on second-day-hair days and gives volume even when my hair is freshly clean. My favourite kind is 'Wild and Daring' which is in the leopard print can, but this tropical one smells nice!

Benefit Rockateur blush
New to my collection, but this rose gold blush gives off a great colour!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent
As mentioned in my previous post, this powder is something I tend to reach for on an everyday basis. I love a matte finish and my skin tends to get oily. This completes my face without my makeup looking too caked on.

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Mousse in Dark
Dead set best self tanner I have ever used! I apply this with a mitt and it looks so natural since it is a green based tanner. It also stays on well, personally t lasts on me for just over a week before getting slightly patchy but it's nothing too bad. At only $20 from Priceline, it's worth every penny!

Lusts of the week #6

Lusts of the week #6

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation
I've read and heard such good things about this foundation on the blogging and vlogging scene, so it's a must on my list of products to try!

Apple iPad Air
As you may have seen in previous lusts of the weeks (here and here) I have been (and still am) lusting over a Macbook. My funds just aren't quite up to par at the moment (currently on the hunt for a second casual job!) so I'm planning to buy an iPad instead - plus it'll be much lighter for me to carry in my bag to uni!

Vanity/Dressing Table (pictured)
My love for these blossomed many years ago and is still in the honeymoon stage! I wish there was enough space in my bedroom for one haha. It's the dream - I will own it some day!

Leather Look Asymmetrical skirt from Glassons
I saw this skirt in an outfit post by Katie at Steal The Spotlight (note: new fashion inspiration - check her out she is amazing!) and fell in love. I have to have it. Or similar ;)

PS. Lusts of the week have started to become a series I post on a Thursday - I think that's a scheduled thing I can (and want) to stick to and and I know some of you like these.. sooo expect them on a Thursday! (*hopes that I haven't just jinxed my current regular blogging routine that I am oh-so-proud-of*) Also, keep an eye out for my January Favourites coming tomorrow!

Lusts of the week #5

Lusts of the week #5

Lusts of the week #5 by fullofcuriosityxo featuring nars cosmetics

I'm really into mesh at the moment and mesh mixed with sports luxe.. I just love this dress!

This particular one is Dragon Girl, but there's a few other colours I'm liking the look of. I love matte lips so I think these would be perfect. I saw these mentioned on Jasmine Cara's blog and they immediately went on my list after doing some further research!

Leather shorts
I love these shorts, now just to find a perfect (and inexpensive) pair!

1000th mention of Windsor Smith on my blog and I don't really need any more heels but I love these. I have the Prom heels (mentioned in this post) which I am in love with (and still need to wear out oops)

I love anything and everything New York. I saw this on my Instagram feed and knew I had to have it! I want to get a bedside table for my bedroom and I think this would look perfect leant against the wall in a white frame!

Ladies in lace

Lace bralettes are so gorgeous and I love them showing out the side of shirts. Not to mention they are so comfortable to wear! You may also be able to tell that I like them in black best haha.

Let's be frank

Frank is a huge trend that I have seen all over my Instagram feed as of late so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and see what all the hype is about.

Frank is a coffee scrub and comes in two varieties - Original and Coconut & Grapeseed. I decided to go with the Coconut & Grapeseed version in case I didn't like the straight-up coffee version.

What Frank says:

"i’ll target cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, varicose veins, eczema and acne with roasted and ground arabica coffee beans."

I've used this scrub twice now over the past week and a half and it leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth. The idea is to cover your body and leave the scrub on for 5-10 minutes before washing it off. 'He' also tells you to take a selfie with your scrub and upload it to Instagram with hashtags including #thefrankeffect and #letsbefrank which is actually how I discovered this scrub and what led me to getting it. Great way to get your product out there if you ask me!

They're not wrong when they say "get dirty" - this stuff goes everywhere! (Sorry Mum! - yes I know you read this haha) So be prepared to give your shower a good clean when you're done.

Find out more about Frank here and try it for yourself here. If you like the smell of coffee you'll love it!

Have you tried it? What are your thoughts?

Lusts of the week #4

Lusts of the week #4

Lusts of the week #4 by fullofcuriosityxo featuring a spray perfume

Walk The Line dress from Beginning Boutique
These dresses are everywhere and I love them!

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
I own the first Naked palette and absolutely love it and I think I would get so much use out of the 3! We can't get Urban Decay here in Australia at the moment and it's currently on Beauty Bay for around $80 so I'll have to wait and save my money or wait til the price drops a bit!

Be Delicious by DKNY
I've always loved the smell of this perfume! I have plenty of perfumes at the moment but I thought I'd add it to the list anyway.

Lilac loving

photos from daiquiri-kisses, butttdumpling, blue-velvet-eyes, heckyespinkhair, waanderrlustt (tumblr)

I absolutely love blonde hair with hints of lilac/purple/pink in it! Kind of wish I was brave enough to pull it off myself!

Lusts of the Week #3

Delevigne 92 Tee by MLM
I freaking love Cara and am obsessed with this shirt.. so close so splurging on this!

Macbook
Pretty sure this was in my previous Lusts of the Week, but I still want one. Air or Pro, I am still undecided. I guess it just depends on what I can afford when uni is closer is starting back up again.

A totally unrealistic item for me to ever own but hey, maybe one day right? A girl can dream.

Polaroid 300 film
My friends gave me a Polaroid 300 for my birthday back in April and I finally got around to using it and taking some snaps with my friends on New Years Eve, but one pack of film only has 10 photos in it. I want to buy some more before we go on holidays in a few weeks as it seemed to be a huge hit with everyone and polaroids are fun!

NARS Laguna bronzer
Yes, still.. So close to just going out and buying this, but I also want to wait to get it cheaper when I go to Hawaii later this year (so far away though!). Whether I'll splurge on NARS or Benefit's Hoola bronzer at Australian prices we'll soon see (I just made a huge Benefit order off the American website and decided to go against buying Hoola but now I'm kind of regretting it)

Four beauty resolutions

Welcome to 2014! Many people ring in the new year with resolutions to fulfil over the following twelve months, but as I can't usually stick to anything like that I thought I would share some of my beauty related resolutions with you! (Fingers crossed I stick to them.)

1. I hereby swear to wash my brushes more often.
Admittedly, I don't wash my make-up brushes. I am simply too lazy and the one time I did, they didn't dry in time! I got a kit of Sigma brushes for Christmas though, so I will try to clean them on the regular to keep them in top form!

2. I hereby swear to take my make-up off at night as much as possible.
I hate sleeping in make-up and although I do wash it off most nights, there are still nights every now and again where if I'm not wearing much or it's too late at night, I'll leave it on. (No promises on taking it off at 4am after a night out though)

3. I hereby swear to do a massive clean out.
I was looking through my make-up draws recently and realised that I still have some products that I have had for years. Oops. I need to go through and throw out any old and most-likely expired products.

4. I hereby swear to drink more water.
It's not like I don't drink enough, but you can never drink enough of it.

Tell me your resolutions! Whether they're beauty related or not.
