PAINT IT RED X BRITTANY CAIRNS

Let me shine a spotlight on my favourite label Paint It Red! They've recently released their newest collection featuring the gorgeous Brittany Cairns - you may recognise her from The Voice Australia. I actually found this label through her Instagram as I had always liked her on the show.

I am a massive fan of crop tops, leather and pops of colour (especially bright pink!) so I'm loving this collection and I thought I would share some of my favourite shots!

Lusts of the week: Success #1

I've written 9 weeks worth of 'Lusts of the week' now so I thought I'd do a little something extra and show you what stuff I've actually bought or received after wanting them for so long!

In week #2 I said that I wanted some Sigma brushes, as a the time I didn't have any make-up brushes that were good quality. I receieved this Miss Bunny collection of Sigma brushes from my parents for Christmas and I was so happy when I opened them - it was the last thing I expected as I have never asked for them or mentioned them but my mum is sneaky (aka read the blog post haha). In week #1 I was lusting over the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and I soon bought it from beautybay.com after that (since we can't get UD in Australia). I love it and use it quite a lot, as you may have seen in my recent Youtube video.

Week #2 also had two pairs of Windsor Smith shoes. (if you're new to the blog, I don't shut up about Windsor Smith - I'm obsessed). I live in the Lily sandals (I made a post HERE when I first bought them). I think they are so comfortable and they match with a lot of my outfits. When they had an online sale of 20%, I couldn't resist the Prom heels! I finally wore them for the first time last weekend and they served me well, considering I hadn't worn high heels out in a loooong time. Still need some getting used to though (they're bloody sexy though!)

I am a huge Cara Delevingne fan so I just to get this top by MLM label. (This was in week #3 where I also wanted Polariod film which I did buy and use). I wear this a lot too, usually with high-waisted denim shorts as it is quite baggy. I thought I'd include 2 in 1 for this photo because in week #7 I talked about wanting a felt hat and after searching for so long I found the perfect one in Bardot!

Last but not least, I finally found the perfect pair of leather shorts that I mentioned in week #5! They are by the brand Mika & Gala and I found them in a StyleHub booth in Westfield Sydney (along with this top by Sophia)

Phew, sorry for the long post! See all of my lusts of the weeks HERE.

Walk The Line

Wearing Peppermayo dress (sold out, sorry!) Windsor Smith shoesColette by Collette Hayman bag, Diva chain, Sportsgirl sunglasses

Happy Valentines Day guys!! Whether you're single or all loved up, I hope you have a lovely day! If you're single like myself, go out and spoil yourself a little because you deserve it! *kissy-face-emoji*

I wore this outfit when I went to the city on Tuesday and I just couldn't wear the dress and not make a post about it! It was love at first sight after I saw it on Katie from Steal The Spotlight - I knew I had to have it! Not to mention it goes perfectly with my Windsor Smith Lily's that also hold a huge place in my heart. Must be fate.

I also filmed a video! Most of you probably wouldn't know that about two years ago I used to post videos on Youtube - until my camera got stolen (it was only a point-and-shoot thank god!) but because the video format wouldn't work in any programs, they were also terrible and unedited *shudder* (nice try but they're all on private now mwahaha). I've been wanting to get back into it for so long now and what better time than now? What am I waiting for? It's below, I hope you enjoy watching it (and maybe subscribe while you're at it? I might make some more) And don't talk to me about my URL - I made it in 2009 okay?! And I couldn't think of a new one haha.

Lusts of the week #8

Lusts of the week #8

I'm a massive fan of black & white and sports luxe at the moment and this post shows!

I have seen these babies all over my Instagram and Bloglovin' feeds and it was love at first sight. I've always been about 80% sure on these as I have been uncertain as to whether I'll find a way to wear them but after seeing how Vogue Vandal styled them HERE, I am 100% going to save up and purchase these.

Again, this is a cult item among the fashion bloggers. I tried this on in store late last year and didn't think I had enough confidence to wear it, and was a bit disappointed. I still fall in love every time I see a photo of someone wearing it (they always look AMAZING) and I was in a Bardot store in the city on Tuesday and couldn't keep my eyes off it. Since trying it on I've realised that I don't have to wear it on it's own - I can layer it. I think I'm just going to bite the bullet, try it on again and take it home. I'm obsessed, I can't stop thinking about it haha.

While I was in store on Tuesday I saw these and fell in love. I am a sucker for the white leather look. Although I don't really want to spend $80 on them (I'll see if they go on sale or get reduced)

While shopping with friends on Tuesday we also popped into Sportsgirl on Pitt St and I saw this top and again, fell in love (I fall in love with a lot of clothing items don't I?!) Really, I should have just picked it up then and there but I was too busy thinking about money and a hat that I had just seen in Bardot (Yes I went back and bought it - you'll see it soon). I'm definitely going to go and get it though, I absolutely love that pattern - reminds me of Cameo!

Do you guys prefer me simply listing my 'lusts of the week' like I did last week HERE or keep giving a short blurb as to why I want that particular item etc? I didn't have much to say on the items last week so I skipped it but this week I do so I'm not sure what I should stick to. I do like giving you my lil stories behind each item though haha, maybe I'll do a bit of both.

My Beauty Travel Essentials

If you follow me on Instagram (@emhewitt_ - shameless plug) you would know that last weekend I went on a quick trip down the coast with nine of my friends so I thought I would show you what I took with me in terms of beauty and skincare.

I was going to the beach so I obviously had to take sunscreen. I went out and bought the new Neutrogena Beach Defence Water & Sun spray which I loved. I'm lazy and hate the greasy feeling of sunscreen on my hands so this was very easy to use and has a light formula - so no gross feeling for me! (If you're wondering why I haven't included shampoo, conditioner or soap/body lotion it's because some of us girls bought it down there and shared it as we were only there for four nights - I'm not dirty haha). I took my cleanser which is the Anew Aqua Youth and I use it with the Olay Regenerist brush (think Clarisonic but way cheaper). Then lastly my moisturiser, Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture. I didn't take my night or eye creams as I didn't think it was necessary as it was such a short trip and wasn't planning on wearing much make-up.

As for make-up I took my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (in Soft Beige) along with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and only ended up wearing it once when we went to the local bowling club for some drinks. I took my Garnier Roll-On concealer for my under-eye circles which I used everyday as well as Benefit's Gimme Brow - the only time I leave the house without my brows on is when I am going to get them waxed, they're a must for me! I took my Rimmel Stay Matte powder to set my foundation if I needed to and if I was feeling a lil oily which I apply with my Sigma F30 brush (Large Powder). Lastly Benefit's They're Real (which I only wore the same day as the foundation) and Maybelline Babylips in Mixed Berry.

It's not much but it was perfect for my four night holiday at the beach. What are your must-haves for trips away?
