Well I've neglected this blog for a while now and I am so sorry! I got super busy and super uninspired, but I'm back with a round up of the past two months! Starting half way through march I had either a 21st or an engagement party on so I was kept very busy.
I caught up with my friends from my uni bridging course. We had dinner at Barenz in Camden, slept over at Anna's house then went to Flip Out and Hogs Breath for lunch. We paid for an hour at Flip Out but were over it after 15 minutes hahaha we are so unfit! We pushed through another half an hour though. I love how I haven't had a class with them for three years but we still make the effort to catch up!
On Valentine's Day I went to the races with a group of my friends for my friend's birthday (Bronwyn, on the left). I wore my White Fox Boutique dress again. It was a really fun day and she lives nearby so we had drinks at her place before and after which was nice since the rest of us live 45 mins or so away from the city.
I went to Wattamolla Beach for the first time with my friend Jade. It is absolutely beautiful there. Afterwards we went and had hot chips in Bundeena.
One weekend myself and 7 of my friends travelled up to Newcastle for the night for our friend's 21st birthday. It was a really fun night, especially since we had never been out up there before.
Jordyn, Perri (who I met that night) and I decided to have a night in the city with no real plan. We drank while we got ready then went to Bar Century and decided to come home again after an hour hahaha. On the plus side I only spent $8 (thank god for $4 drinks).
The next morning we went to Nulla Nulla in Cronulla to nurse our hangovers with some Eggs Benedict. After that we went to Westfield Miranda and I was naughty and bought myself a cape from Forever New (which you'll see at the end)
The night of the "eggs benny" breakfast, I went to an American-style diner in Engadine with three of my friends. Their pink lemonade was so yummy and to make it better it came in a mason jar cup - if you know me you know that I absolutely love mason jars so that was exciting enough for me!
I finally sent out my 21st birthday party invites! Envelopes and brown paper to print them on cost me about $50 - I never knew envelopes were so damn expensive, like $37?!! :/
Then on a Friday night Jordyn and I had a girls night watching movies, eating food and drinking moscato. We made it through one movie and she went to bed at 11pm so I took selfies with her cat while watching TV hahaha. Then we kept marathoning movies in the morning.
The next night Jade invited me out with her and our friend Lauren. I had no money so I decided to drive. We went to Cronulla RSL then to Carmens. Driving can be so convenient sometimes although it's not as fun!
Hmm yep I got a black eye at work. I was putting out stock and crouched down and slammed my face into a metal blouse arm. It was probably the scariest thing I have ever experienced because I legitimately thought the metal bar and gone in my eye. I couldn't see properly at first and the two cuts were bleeding. Not really what you want at 7:30 in the morning. I then had a bruised eye for the rest of the week. It happened on a Tuesday so it had luckily mostly cleared up by the weekend when I had a 21st.
This night was a joint 21st celebration for my friends Kieren and Andy. Six of us stayed in a hotel in the city to save having to trek it home (45 min train ride). We spent the night at Pontoon Bar in Darling Harbour and it was really fun! I hadn't seen these girls properly in ages so it was fun to be out with them and on the dance floor like old times. Followed by some gelato at 1am - cookies & cream and salted caramel mmm (Pssst add me on Snapchat! @emmakatehewitt)
Then on the Sunday I went out for lunch with Alyce in Engadine at Takoo - I had never been there before but the Pad Thai was amazing!! The best I've ever had, and that is saying something because I eat Thai quite a bit.
My friend Danii had a burlesque themed 21st at Cronulla Leagues Club. Dress up parties are always fun. I bought my costume from Costume Box - they're my go-to for costumes!
This past weekend I went to an engagement party for two of my friends. It was just at a house and started in the afternoon and went into the night so I didn't feel the need to get too dressy. I finally wore my new Forever New cape as I knew it would get colder as the night went on. The cape is beautiful and so nice and warm and acts like a massive blanket!! Can't wait to wear it more in Winter.
I can't believe it's already April?! My birthday is on the 10th so I am very excited. It's my 21st and I'm having a big party so expect to see many photos and posts about that soon! I'm also going to Demi Lovato in Melbourne and spending the weekend there so you'll see that too.
