I attended the last event of the Spring Carnival at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney over the weekend. It was a lovely day with some of my best friends and a lot of champagne ;)

Since I've just got back from my holiday in Hawaii, I didn't really have the money to spend on a brand new dress so I wore my Year 12 formal dress. I got it from Veronika Maine three years ago. I love flower crowns, and it was what I wore to the races last year (which you can see here and here) so I picked up another one from Sportsgirl last week. I think the purple goes really well with the green dress, and the green leaves on the headband match as well. I decided to brave it and wear heels for the entire day and went with my Windsor Smith ones that I'm obsessed with!

I didn't bet on any horses or watch it really this year (oops) but I just love dressing up and seeing what everyone else is wearing!

MAC Haul // Hawaii Hauls

While I was on holiday in Hawaii I of course made a trip to the MAC store in the Ala Moana Shopping Center! 

I started off with the 15 Eyeshadow Pro Palette along with the inserts and four shades. These are my first MAC eyeshadows. I didn't go in intending to get colours in the red/burgundy family but these things just happen. I also don't own any other eyeshadows like them so I thought I'd venture out from my usual neutral tones.

Retail assistants have their ways of pulling you towards products. Getting a paint pot hadn't crossed my mind at the time and I was a bit skeptical but now I am glad I bought it. I didn't have a nice matte base before this.

Lastly, I had to pick up some lipsticks. I went for Angel - a cult favourite - and I am now obsessed with it. I've been wearing it most days since I got it, perfect neutral pink for every day wear. I also picked up Milan Mode. I've never really heard much about this one and it has some glitter which I usually steer clear of but it looked nice on in the store and I sort of had a "#yolo moment" haha. So here we are.

What are some of your favourite MAC products? There are SO many more lipsticks I want to get - I'm just getting started. I'd love some recommendations!

It's my best friend's 21st birthday this weekend and I've nearly got my whole outfit! Katie from Steal The Spotlight featured this top in a recent video of hers and I liked it so much I bought one for myself. I also have my Windsor Smith shoes that I've only ever worn once - let's hope my feet survive the night this time.

My Mimco pouch is my go-to weekend clutch - it fits everything I need (including fold-up flats in case of emergencies) and hangs comfortably off my wrist so I'm not annoyed by constantly carrying it! I've also just recently tried Loving Tan and it immediately became my favourite false tanner! It's red based so it doesn't make you look orange and it has worn off nicely for me so far. I usually do my tan on the Thursday night before I have an event on the weekend.

Instagram Diary #1

1. Caught up with uni friends for a birthday at the Ivy in Sydney. 

2. Went out for dinner and wore my new River Island skirt - I'm obsessed with pineapples! 

3. Had a delicious lunch at a new local cafe with my best friend.

4. Tried self-serve frozen yogurt for the first time and loved it!

5. Saw The 1975 in concert at The Enmore Theatre. My friend and I lined up all day but it was worth it because we got second row from the front barrier! Amazing. 

6. I finally bought a pair of boots and I have been living in them ever since - love love love.

7. Spend my uni breaks in Gloria Jeans with iced chocolates and magazines.

8. Selfie because why not?

9. Walked along Cronulla Beach because the weather was beautiful!
